Adobe creative cloud desktopstuck10/11/2023 ![]() It has totally changed the way I feel about Adobe. I hope I can save even one person from going through the immense frustration (mild word) I just went through with this update. These last things may not be necessary but worth including. And I also disabled my Firewall and ran the download as an administrator (right click, run as administrator). In addition, don't forget to first uninstall any previous downloads. (eg, suspend your firewall and retry. I had come across suggestion to rename the OOBE file but never saw info on how to do this until now. first, make sure theres nothing on your computer blocking your access. The last problem I was dealing with was being stuck at waiting. Not only did this last update wipe out my ability to use my trusty CS3, but I have had every problem you can think of in being able to use the App! It started with not being able to link png and jpeg images to the app to not being able to install and use CC2018 at all!! I read and tried everything but nothing worked. And finally, I just wanted to add this: I d-loaded the CC Uninstallation app and ran it after removing things manually.I have spent the last 3 days-and I mean 12 hour days - trying to solve the problem with my CC 2018 update. PS: I d-loaded the CC Desktop App from my logged-in account in the Adobe browser window under 'Apps'. ![]() no CC Desktop - Nothing and I feel after almost 48 hrs of trying I have attempted everything I now have NO CC Apps At All!! And I have SO much work to do today - No Photoshop, No illustrator. I cannot tell you how depressing this is. That was an hour ago - I am still staring at the CC Install window telling me 25% with 8-10mins left It all looked good at first because instead of est time of 80+mins it started ripping along and said est time 8-10mins - Great (I thought). Ive deleted cc and reinstalled, completely reset my computer thinking maybe there was something holding it up, but it seems its just Adobes incompetence yet again thats letting so many of us down. To resolve this error, either quit and relaunch the Creative Cloud desktop app or turn file sync off and then back on again. After this, I ran the CC Desktop installer again. This is an absolute sham Ive been trying for 2 days now to reinstall Photoshop 2020 and Lightroom. The Creative Cloud desktop app is unable to sync files if the default folder location is changed to a folder name that contains any High ASCII or Cyrillic characters, such as ä, è,, Ç, or. I then went into my System Preferences and turned off the Proxy settings ( as instructed here in forums) and un-checked 'Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)'. So I had to then resort to a 'CMD-Opt-P-R' restart.Īfter this, I opened Acitivy Monitor and killed 2 instances of CC shown in there (one was marked in RED and said 'Not Responding'). I even tried booting my Mac in 'Safe Mode' (as suggest in forums) but couldn't install there from ther either as there seemed to be no internet connection (even though it said in System Preferences that I was connected via Wi-Fi to my normal connection) I couldnt even get a connection in a browser window, just 'No internet'. all seems fine but for the last hour it has been stuck at 20.5% and says in grey beneath the 'Installing (20.5%)' 8-10 mins left? Originally for the first few tries, this estimated time for download said 80-84 mins? I tried again (fourth time) to install from CC Installer and it opens a browser page, makes sure I am logged-in and then continues. So in theory, I should have NO CC products on the Mac now. First it froze at 12.5%, then I tried again after removing everything - but even by using Adobe's cleaner utility it said there issues, so I did it all manually by uninstalling EVERY App one by one. I just can't d-load the CC Desktop App at all. I am now seriously regretting this BIGTIME and I am very worried. usually when i check creative cloud it simply says offline, and neither ask if continue offline. ![]() I decided (after searching/reading for hours and hours) to uninstall CC Desktop and ALL Apps. (BTW, I know I have an older machine, but until now ALL my CC Apps were working just fine and updating fine ) if that fails, repair per if that fails, uninstall using the correct uninstaller from. I am on a Mac 2010 OS High Sierra 10.13.6 and I noticed the other day that my Libraries were not syncing correctly after downloading Photoshop 2020 and illustrator 2020. reset the cc desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press: Win: Ctrl + Alt + R. Have there been any further developments with CC Desktop hanging on installation?
